Should I choose an architect or an interior designer for my project?
For a construction or renovation project, the two trades can be complementary, depending on the specific skills of each.
Our agency holds ten-year insurance cover and works regularly with architects, landscape architects and partner design offices.
 
In Francen the architect and interior designer diplomas are both state diplomas requiring Bac +5 studies, which validate artistic, technical and regulatory skills.
Space Designer corresponds to a Bac +2 qualification at BTS level. Decorators, on the other hand, do not require any particular diploma.

The role of the interior architect is to create and design interior spaces as defined in article 4 of the French Architecture Act of January 3, 1977.
Their work focuses on the circulation, ergonomics and aesthetics of living spaces, and usually also includes decorating skills. Often specializing in renovations and refurbishments, he or she is also authorized to coordinate construction work (e.g. house extensions) with a maximum total floor area of less than 150 square meters.

A DE (state-qualified) architect has a more global and technical vision of construction. To become a self-employed architect, he or she must pass the HMONP (habilitation à l'exercice de la maîtrise d'œuvre en son nom propre), formerly known as DPLG. This takes 1 year to complete, preferably after several years' experience as a salaried architect.
How much does an interior design project cost?
The budget of a project depends on the scope of the work, the materials selected, and the complexity of the design.

Please note: customers often have a budget range, but don't always dare communicate it, for fear of being pressured to spend it all. Just like the list of their needs and desires. Rest assured: we'll help you prioritize your objectives, and cost the various options so you can make the right choices.
 
The more precise your budget is at the start of our collaboration, the more effective our action and planning will be. This will enable us to provide you with the best possible advice to ensure that your budget is strictly adhered to.
I know craftsmen and suppliers I can trust, and would like to work with them. Can you supervise their work?
Yes, we can get in touch with the artisans and suppliers you'd like to work with. We know many local craftsmen and suppliers, and your contact may already be one of the professionals we work with on a regular basis! If not, unless you tell us otherwise, we'll be happy to meet the people you recommend.
It's worth noting, however, that our experience shows that craftsmen who work together on a regular basis, like those we've selected for their know-how and interpersonal skills, are more efficient and communicative. A site where there's good atmosphere and positive energy is often a successful project!
Should I choose you for your style?
Above all, we listen to our customers. While we have developed our own aesthetic - in broad lines pure, minimalist and warm - which you can discover in our premises, at galerie du coté and through the pieces of furniture we design, we know how to adapt to your tastes and your budget, to create an interior at your image.
What is the studio’s area of operation?
For interior architecture projects requiring project management or site supervision, we mainly operate along the Basque Coast (Biarritz, Anglet, Bayonne, Guéthary, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Arcangues, Arbonne, Ahetze). We also occasionally oversee projects in Spain (Hondarribia, San Sebastián) and in the Landes region (Capbreton, Hossegor, Seignosse). Exceptional projects may be considered beyond this area. 
Pure design and concept development projects are not limited by geography.
Can I call on your services before purchasing a property?
 Of course. Our consultation visit allows you to assess a property’s potential prior to acquisition: feasibility of the work, budget estimates, and technical constraints. A service designed to help you make the right decision.
