Mission

Clients:

A Parisian family with a passion for surfing chose a seafront apartment in Guéthary as a place to retreat and reconnect, overlooking the legendary wave that has come to define the spirit of this unique setting.

General brief:

Complete restructuring of the apartment, including the creation of three en-suite bedrooms.

Specific requirements:

Orient the living spaces towards the ocean and create a suspended armchair on a ceiling rail, allowing its position to follow the setting sun.

A remote camera was also installed to keep an eye on the famous Parlementia wave from a distance.

Details

Each space was conceived to open onto the central living area, bathed in natural light, where the horizon of the sea seems to blend with the interior. The layout is fluid yet intimate, inviting the family to fully embrace the present moment while remaining connected to the vastness of the ocean.

Carefully selected materials bring a natural, soothing quality to the interiors, creating a retreat where the raw energy of the sea meets the sense of calm and serenity sought by the family.

The master suite was positioned apart from the children’s suites and guest area, allowing each space to retain its own sense of privacy, freedom and autonomy.
