Mission

Clients:

A local family chose to give their Guéthary home a new lease of life through a complete transformation.

General brief:

To create a welcoming family home with several en-suite bedrooms, a new kitchen, and the conversion of the existing garage into an additional suite and games room. The project also included the creation of a swimming pool and terrace.

Specific requirements:

The house was designed to accommodate both family life and seasonal rental, with a high-end level of finishes, materials and amenities.

Details

Every detail was carefully reconsidered to balance contemporary comfort with respect for the character and spirit of the original house. The spaces are both open and intimate, allowing for a fluid connection between rooms and a natural flow throughout the home.

Dedicated areas were designed for the family’s children and their friends, creating an atmosphere that is both convivial and highly functional. The carefully selected materials introduce a contemporary sensibility while preserving the soul of the house, resulting in a harmonious and welcoming living environment.

Integration of an iconic artwork, façade alterations to create a seamless indoor–outdoor living space, creation of en-suite bedrooms, swimming pool and terrace.
